this was the last song recorded on the album. there was no intention of it being on the album until a week before it was time to record the twelfth and final song. another song, "nu wei", had been slated for this slot, but we weren't feeling it. no good buddy (formerly "driveby") had made it into only a few rehearsals prior, going relatively unnoticed. but for some reason it was suddenly obvious that this was the one. |

nov 05 - jesse's in the bathroom midway through a rehearsal, jim starts this thing off with a thunky bass line, mike follows in suit with a hard-hitting groove. driven by the rhythm section, and featuring minimal guitar (save the explosive ending) and piano, this drip is unique as the usual front seaters take up the rear instead. a favorite of jesse's as he likes to think he's rapping. |

jan 06 instrumental - cait leads the way in this one with graceful piano plinkies in the beginning. naturally, just asthings are heating up, the guitar cable freaks out and byebye goes potential stratospheric guitar solo outro. maybe its better off that way. |
